No hidden line items, no return-trip surprises — what we put in writing is what you pay.
We grind to a minimum 6 inches below ground level — deep enough that you can replant grass or sod over the spot without the old stump telegraphing through.
Major surface roots radiating from the stump are ground flush so they're not catching mower blades a year from now.
Grinding leaves a mountain of chips on the spot. On request we haul them away, or backfill with clean topsoil so you can sod immediately.
Plywood mats wherever the grinder crosses grass. Most jobs leave no visible track.
811 call placed before grinding starts on any stump near a property line, sprinkler head, or service line. We verify before the wheel touches dirt.
If we removed the tree, we grind the stump the same visit by default. Saves you a second appointment.
Minimum 6 inches below grade for a standard grind. We can go deeper (10–12") if you plan to replant a tree in the same spot or lay sod immediately.
Some species (locust, willow, certain maples) can send up suckers from remaining root mass. If suckering is a known risk for your tree, we treat the wound with a stump killer as part of the job.
Standard service grinds the visible roots flush at the surface. If the roots have buckled a sidewalk or driveway, that's a different fix — we'll quote the root pruning separately.
Yes, but wait 6–12 months and have us grind extra-deep up front. Fresh chips and remaining root mass tie up nitrogen as they decompose; new plantings struggle in a fresh stump bed without prep.
Chip haul-away is available on request. Many homeowners keep them as path mulch or compost — just tell us what you prefer when you book.
Hazardous, dead, or unwanted trees taken down with rigging, cranes, and zero damage to what surrounds them.
ANSI A300 pruning that improves structure, light, and long-term health — not just shape.
Structural support for split leaders, weak unions, and heritage trees worth saving.
